We test your water in a laboratory and build the treatment around what is actually in it, so the same borehole can run your showers, your kitchen and water that is safe to drink, and keep running when the municipal supply goes down.
Water that's safe to drink, from every tap in the house, and it keeps running when the municipal supply doesn't.
Tell Heinrich what your water is doing and he'll come back to you personally.

Every one of these is fixable. What it takes depends on what is actually in your water, which is what the laboratory test is for.
And water that looks perfectly clean still might not be. Bacteria, nitrates and dissolved metals have no colour, no smell and no taste. Clear water tells you nothing about whether it is safe to drink.
On a recent Gauteng installation the laboratory found turbidity at 16.4 NTU. That number is what decided the equipment. A filter bought off the shelf would have improved the taste and left the rest of it exactly where it was.
Each stage handles something the next one cannot. Heinrich works out which of them your water needs from the laboratory results, so you are not paying for equipment your borehole does not call for.
Storage tanks & DAB pump
Your borehole water is stored and pushed through the house at steady pressure, so showers and taps feel no different to municipal supply. And it keeps running when the municipal supply stops.
Multimedia filter
A layered bed of media traps the suspended clay and silt that makes borehole water look dirty. It cleans itself on a backwash cycle, so there is no cartridge here to keep buying.
Water softener
Hard water is what kills geyser elements, blocks shower heads and stops soap lathering. The softener takes the calcium and magnesium out before any of that reaches your plumbing.
Activated carbon
Carbon pulls out the dissolved organics behind an earthy or rotten-egg smell, and anything that leaves a taste in the kettle. This is the stage that makes people willing to actually drink it.
Cartridge filters
Catches anything fine enough to slip past the vessels, and keeps the UV unit behind it working properly. Small stage, but skip it and the one after it stops doing its job.
UV disinfection
Ultraviolet light deals with the bacteria you cannot see, smell or taste, without putting any chemicals into your water. It goes last, because everything else has to be clear first for it to work.
A real example · a recent Gauteng installation
The multimedia bed there is anthracite, silica sand, garnet and support gravel, because the laboratory found turbidity as the main problem and no significant iron. A borehole with different results gets a different build. That is the part Heinrich does, and it is why nobody can quote this properly off a phone call alone.
No two boreholes are the same, so nothing gets quoted off a guess. Here is exactly what happens at each stage and how long it takes.
Heinrich will want to know where you are, what the water looks like, whether the borehole is already running and what you want to use it for. He will talk you through what your property is likely to need and what the next step involves.
Free · no obligationA sample goes to an independent laboratory, which measures turbidity, hardness, pH and other water-quality parameters. This is what the entire system gets designed around, and the results are yours to keep either way. Heinrich will explain the testing cost on the call.
Results in your handsHeinrich comes out and checks what decides the build: borehole flow, your existing tanks and pumps, available space, electrical supply, pipe routes and where the backwash can drain. There is a call-out fee for this visit, which Heinrich will go through with you beforehand.
Across Gauteng, Hartbeespoort & BritsHeinrich does the design himself. The laboratory numbers decide which vessels you need, which media goes in them, how they are sized and what order they run in. Tanks, pump and water connections are quoted separately from the treatment where they are needed. Then you get the detailed quotation.
No obligation to proceedTwo to three days on site depending on your existing setup. Your water is off for roughly three hours while the connection work happens. You do not need to be home as long as we can get access.
2 to 3 days on siteHeinrich comes back about a week after installation to check the system is running the way it should once the household has actually been using it. After that it is cartridge replacement every six months and vessel media every two to two and a half years.

At a glance
Profusion H2O has been installing water systems across Gauteng for over fifteen years. Heinrich leads every borehole job personally, so the person who designs your system is the person accountable for it.
Your water goes to an accredited laboratory before anything is specified. The numbers decide the equipment, which is why two boreholes down the same road can need completely different systems.
Heinrich designs your system, runs the installation and takes the call afterwards. You deal with the person accountable for the work, not a salesperson who disappears once the deposit is in.
Not a filter shop that also installs, and not a general plumber taking on something unfamiliar. Water is the whole business, and has been for more than fifteen years.
Sediment, iron, manganese, hardness, taste and smell, bacteria, brackish water and reverse osmosis. You are not sent elsewhere because your water turned out to be complicated.
Twelve months on the workmanship, manufacturer warranty on the equipment, and a follow-up visit about a week later to see how the system behaves once the house is actually using it.
Profusion installs water backup systems too, so the borehole treatment and your municipal backup can be designed as one setup instead of two trades working around each other on the same property.
Start with a conversation. No obligation either way.

We highly recommend Heinrich Janse van Vuuren from Profusion Irrigation. We have known Heinrich for many years, and he has always delivered excellent service. He previously completed our water tank harvesting installation, and most recently handled the pipe and pump installation for our fire water supply to the hose reels. His workmanship is professional, neat, and reliable, and his pricing is fair and reasonable. It is refreshing to work with someone who takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about his clients. Thank you, Heinrich, for your excellent service and ongoing support over the years.Posted on Google![]()

Heinrich gave excellent and prompt service from the original quote to the commissioning of the installed system. He and his team carried out the installation very professionally. After an extensive internet search, I chose Profusion because their system is fully automatic and provides a constant pressure water supply during burst pipe outages, water throttling and water shifting problems and their low energy pump is compatible with my inverter/battery electrical backup system. In the event of concurrent municipal electrical and water supply failures we will now still have a water supply to our house.
The things Heinrich gets asked most often, answered properly rather than in one line.
There is no way to know without testing it. Bacteria, nitrates and dissolved metals have no colour, no smell and no taste, so water that looks completely clean in a glass can still be unsafe. The reverse is also true. Water that looks awful is often only carrying suspended clay, which is one of the easier things to fix.
The only honest answer comes from a laboratory analysis, which is why every system we build starts with one rather than with a guess.
An off-the-shelf filter may improve the taste. It will not remove turbidity, it will not soften hard water, and it will not make the water safe to drink. Most of the people who call us have already tried one.
Treating borehole water properly is a sequence of stages in a specific order, sized to how much water your house uses and matched to what is actually dissolved in it. Get the order or the sizing wrong and the stages work against each other, which is how people end up replacing cartridges every few weeks and still not trusting the water.
Usually, yes. That is the most common reason people call us. The borehole was put in for irrigation, then the municipal supply started failing and the obvious next thought is to run the house off it.
What has to happen first is treatment, plus enough flow and storage to cover household demand rather than a sprinkler line. The assessment checks both, so you know before you spend anything whether your borehole can carry the house.
Two to three days on site, depending on what is already installed and how far the plumbing has to run.
From your first call to a working system is usually two to three weeks, because the laboratory analysis, the site assessment and the design all happen before anyone starts building.
Your water goes off for roughly three hours while the connection work happens. The rest of the installation can carry on around you.
You do not need to be home for the whole job as long as we can get access to the property and to the electrical supply. Most people are there on the first morning and for the handover at the end.
Tell Heinrich when you call. A borehole that has never been equipped, or one that has been standing for years, needs checking before there is any point designing treatment for it.
We do not drill boreholes. What we do is take an existing borehole and turn it into a water supply the house can actually run on.
Heinrich. He takes the call, does the assessment, designs the system off the laboratory results, and runs the installation himself. He has been working in water treatment for over fifteen years.
You are not handed to a salesperson and then to a subcontractor. The person who quotes you is the person who installs it, and the person you phone if something is not right afterwards.
Across Gauteng, including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Centurion, Midrand, the West Rand and the smallholding areas around Muldersdrift, Tarlton and Magaliesburg. We also cover Hartbeespoort and Brits.
If you are further out, call anyway. Whether it works depends on the size of the job.
Payflex is available on these installations, subject to their approval and terms. Heinrich will go through what that looks like once you have your quote.
The workmanship is guaranteed for twelve months, and the equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty on top of that.
Heinrich also comes back about a week after installation to check how the system is behaving once the household has actually been using it, which is when most small adjustments get picked up.
Tell Heinrich what your water is doing and he will come back to you personally. If your borehole cannot carry the house, he will tell you that too.
